ASKING AND GIVING SUGGESTION



Dalam kehidupan sehari - hari kita sering menemukan masalah atau kebingungan terhadap sesuatu. Saat hal itu datang kita sering meminta nasihat atau saran kepada orang lain  dan mereka akan memberikan kita saran atau nasihat. Dalam bahasa Inggris meminta dan memberi nasihat adalah asking and giving opinion. yuk kita pelajari bersama!

 
 

Asking Suggestion

Giving Suggestion

Respond the expression

ACCEPTING SUGGESTION

·         That’s good idea. I will do it.

·         I’ll try. Thank you.

·         Why didn’t I think of that?

·         That’s the best one, I’ll try that.

 

REFUSING SUGGESTION

·         I don’t think so.

·         I disagree with you.

EXAMPLE 1:

Gilang and Dery are talking about online business and Gilang asks suggestion to Dery how to make his online business get higher profit.

Gilang : Der, I am confused, stress, and gloomy now

Dery : what’s going on Gilang?

Gilang : I don’t know, recently my online business is getting worse, do you have any idea for me?

Dery : Yes I have idea, how if you learn facebook advertisement to Mr. Toni? He is expert of this skill. He can earn much money from his online business. If you want to go to his house, just call me!

Gilang : Ok, it’s brilliant idea, may after I study facebook advertisement with him. My online business will be higher profit.

Dery : I hope so.

 

EXAMPLE 2:

Tami   : Hi ClĂ udia, You look worried. What’s the matter?

Aufa  : Er.. it’s nothing.

Tami   : Is it the exam tomorrow? You shouldn’t worry. You’ll pass easily.

Aufa  : I know. Tami : Come on, tell me. What are you worried about?

Aufa  : OK… it’s Mark. I think he has started smoking. I was talking to him yesterday about this topic and he told me that he isn’t smoking.

Tami   : That’s serious. What are you going to do?

Aufa   : I’m not sure. I should tell someone. What do you think I should do?

Tami   : If I were you, I’d speak to his older sister. She’s really friendly.

Aufa  : I’ve never met her. Can you come with me?

Tami   : Yes, of course. Let’s go and find her.

a.       Your friend wants to buy a gift for her mom on mother day.

b.      Your little sister thinks so hard to understand Math.

c.       Your mom wants to go to market but there is no motor or car.

d.      Your classmate wants to buy a new shoes but he doesn’t have money.

e.       Your number is blocked by your close friend because of miscommunication.
